SOUDAL representative office in Russia successfully develops its sales network throughout the country, increasing its turnover every year. Thanks to the work of regional offices and dealers, SOUDAL products can be purchased in any region: from Kaliningrad to Chukotka and Vladivostok.


SOUDAL and TeamIdea started cooperation on a joint project in 2018. The main goal of the Soudal project was to localize the global SAP ERP template for Russian specifics.

To implement a project to localize the SOUDAL global SAP ERP template in Russian specifics, it was necessary not only to coordinate the functionality of the system with Russian legislation (one of the most complex in the world), but also to meet the requirements of established business practices, while not deviating from the fundamental principles of the replicated solution.

The solution was implemented based on standard SAP ERP functionality, and the completed developments serve to simplify data entry into the system and further verify the completeness of data.

This approach simultaneously does not complicate the solution support and increases the efficiency of users to work with the system.

The following processes were configured for the project:


  • Import/export of goods to the EU and EEU countries;
  • VAT accounting;
  • Methodological support;
  • Primary documentation;
  • Banking operations, including the formation of PO, payments to budget organizations, and posting payments;
  • Cash transactions with suppliers, customers, and employees. Printing of cash receipts and CMS forms for cash registers.

The above-mentioned functionality was configured, finalized, and documented by TeamIdea employees. Local users and the global team are trained in Russia-specific functionality. This way, the localized solution is seamlessly integrated into the global template.

Understanding of Russian and European accounting standards allowed TeamIdea employees to act as the main communication link between users of the Russian branch and the global team:

  • The training was conducted for the functionality of the global template for Russian users;
  • Translation of user documentation into Russian;
  • Interpreting during the General design of the sessions.
