Ulmart is the leading Russian Internet retailer of new generation.
Over seven years from a small online store that specializes in selling computer hardware and accessories, the company turned into a multifunctional shopping Internet platform of the Federal scale.
Stages of project
In November 2014, TeamIdea company started implementation of the building project of logistics platform in Ulmart company based on SAP SCM EWM.
- The creation of the first version of the platform and translation of pilot;
- The conversion of all major facilities (Hubs) of Ulmart to the new platform based on SAP SCM EWM;
- The development of the platform and use on all new objects of the company.
Within the framework of the project our company successfully introduced new business processes and technological solutions into commercial operation by all customer requirements in the face of the Director of development and Director of logistics. In other words, it was necessary to create a new platform for control Hubs of the company. Creation, successful implementation and development of the platform to the target state had to be made in phases and be completed before the end of September 2015.
The following project objectives have been approved and successfully achieved
- Goal 1
- Developed and successfully launched platform with the warehouse management based on industrial standard of SAP EWM within the agreed scope of business processes and in accordance with customer requirements.
The new platform was integrated into the operations of the company in stages in accordance with the approved implementation plan and a list of objects without any negative impact on business performance and the effectiveness of the processes, which was confirmed at a pre-agreed list of indicators. - Goal 2
- Close of loop process of goods movement in SAP, creation of a unified Internet platform that manages logistics processes. New Internet solution is successfully integrated into the existing Internet architecture of the company and is supported from the inside.
- Goal 3
- Reduce the cost of intra logistics operations as a % of turnover in the Hubs until the end of 2015.
